We publish fiction, talk art/spoken word, poetry, essays, reflective articles, reviews, interviews and contemporary art. We look for work that reflects the author's experiences, perceptions and insights.

IF YOU ARE SUMBITTING MORE THAN ONE GENRE (poetry, prose, non-fiction), mail in separate envelopes. Different editors read different genres.

Poetry:
Send a maximum of 3 poems at a time. Focus is on content that melds with form - whether traditional or experimental. Submissions e-mailed from outside USA: E-mail no more than 3 poems attached as RTF or msword.doc. Do not embed work in e-mail message.

Non-Fiction, Fiction & Essays:
On average, submit 10-12 pages, maximum, double-spaced, 12 point type. Experimental work is always of interest. (Check with us for maximum length. We do print longer pieces.) Submissions e-mailed from outside USA: E-mail no more than 1 story or essay at a time, attached as RTF or msword.doc. Do not embed work in email itself.

Rants, Raves, Reviews and Interviews:
Do you have a book you would like to review? Someone you are dying to interview? PLEASE let us know - we may feel the same way!

Art:
Black & White drawings, photos, illustrations, etchings. We are always looking for illustrators for stories, poems. We are fond of well-drawn Ravens and other birds! Contact us for ideas. Preferred: b/w prints/artwork. E-mail as an attachment: save as a jpeg for us to look at. If we choose your work, we will contact you about format to submit: Photos will need to be saved as tiffs, with no compression; chosen photos will be scanned at 200 or 300 dpi for web press; images need to be converted to CMYK or Grayscale (not RGB or Index).

PAYMENT & ETC.:
All contributors receive one to two copies of the magazine and, sometimes, a small payment, (generally in the $10-$40 range). We try to pay contributors, but this isn't always possible. Payment will be sent after the magazine has been distributed. We do copyright your work (Library of Congress), but all rights remain with you.

REPLY TIMES:
We try to respond to submissions within a reasonable period. If you haven't heard within 3 months, write or email us. Our staff is small and dedicated: we do the best we can!
