Red Sky at Night: Poets Live in Seattle
This compact disk contains readings from Red Sky Poetry Theater, which touts itself as the "longest running open mic on the West Coast, possibly the universe." As a 20th anniversary celebration, there are 36 recordings of poets reading their work - some slam style, some academic, a chorus of very different voices representative of the poetry "scene" of the Pacific Northwest. Like going to a poetry reading in your own living room, except eclectically edited and without the embarrassment of trying to find a seat when you're running late. Get out the cappuccino machine and enjoy.
