A native Washingtonian, Stephen Thomas studied at St. Edwards Seminary,
Marquette University, Cornell and the University of Washington. He held
a wide variety of jobs before settling into a career of teaching. He currently
teaches middle and high school English at University Preperatory Academy,
literature and composition at Cornish College of the Arts and verse writing
at the University of Washington Extension. In a former life he was an active
performance artist and impressario, the man behind the Cabaret Hegel. He
serves as Poetry Editor of Point
No Point: A Blue Moon Reader, contributing Editor to The Temple:
A postnational journal of spiritual elevation, and member of the board of
the Seattle Poetry Festival. His poems have appeared in a wide array of
journals.
