Affections from a Former Mail-Order Bride to a Newly-Wed Husband

by Kristin Naca

You're a lucky man, she's quite beautiful.
Does she fry you chicharon before dinner?
And does her lumpia make your tongue drip wet?
Do you crave the tastes of her Filipina soft skin silken?
It lasts, you know, longer than sun's rays dancing.
When cool ground takes what's left: a worm's segmented squirm
boring into rotted flesh, I wish you could see it
the way she looks at youthose eyes like the moons
that brought me here before they dwindle into slim crescents
hiding behind dark clouds leathery like her long black hair.
It drapes you and wraps around your body
when she gives you head does she love it?
Do you make her?
